Our Lodge is Unique
At Brighton District, our focus is on becoming exemplary Freemasons. Each day we look for ways to support our members become better versions of themselves. The Past Masters Board, The Committee of General Purpose and the Social Committee of BDL, focusses on making our Masonic experience a happy one!
Enjoying each other's company is why we meet frequently for YAMAMs breakfasts, hold parties, golf days, camping trips, celebrations & constantly look for ways to unite our brethren and families in being part of the world's oldest fraternity!
Eventhough Brighton Lodge is in its 161st year and is the 'Mother Lodge' of most of the Bayside Lodges, we are a progressive group of Freemasons; our Lodge App is the repository of all things Brighton Lodge - our functions, events, Summonses and Member Updates!
Provide Relief
Brighton Supports our community via our 'Gather my Lodge' initiative. The GML crew has been supporting freemasons, widows and the community for many years now - every Saturday morning we work to provide Relief where needed.
The GML crew also is responsible for providing fresh fruit and vegies to the local public housing community in conjunction with the local Neighbourhood House & Local Government support schemes.
Our Ritual & Ceremonies
Brighton District Lodge prides itself on the Ritual & Ceremonial aspect of Freemasonry and what it teaches us. Our Charges are done verbatim and we support our up and coming Masons by looking to run 'two' ceremonial teams of Lodge Officers. Every active member is challenged to learn a Charge and participate in every ceremony within the framework of our teachings. Our Obligations within our Charges are taught to all our members which is how we constantly strive for the Truth!
Our aim is to excel and continue to be known for our Ritual and perfect point of our entrance and being a lodge which focusses on Brotherly Love, Relief & Truth!
